Junior Aquatics

Swim Team

The Shore and Country Club Sun Devils compete in Division 2 of the Fairfield County Swim league. Our Swim Team aims to create a safe environment that promotes good sportsmanship, fosters team spirit, improves swimming skills, and allows our swimmers and coaches to have fun!

Dive Team

Our dive team caters to children ages 7-17 and is open to divers of all abilities, the only skill needed to join the dive team is a front jump. Our dive team competes in dual meets alongside our Swim Team.

Pre Team

Pre-Team is the ideal choice for children who are able to swim independently but would like to further develop their skills before joining the competitive swim team. Pre-Teamers will learn to develop each of the four strokes, proper racing dives and starts, and will even compete in their very first swim meets alongside our Swim Team!

Swim Lessons

A private swim lesson is a one-on-one instructional lesson that helps your child learn swimming techniques, helps them practice, and become more confident in the water. Swim lessons can be scheduled for up to three swimmers at a time. Swim lessons are taught by either a swim and dive coach or a lifeguard instructor.

Junior Tennis

Junior tennis at SCC is fun and all clinics and lessons are focused on development of technical, tactical and athletic skills as well as the mental and emotional aspect of tennis. All sessions will begin with a dynamic warm-up, athletic skill development technical and tactical skills and a cool down.

Sailing

Our sailing program offers a robust 4 or 8 week instruction for Junior members. We also offer private and semi-private lessons for both juniors and adults. The sailing program covers everything from the basics of sailing to competitive racing. Sailors may even get the opportunity to travel the Long Island Sound, competing against other Clubs in sailing regattas. Our fleet is comprised of Optimists, RS Fevas, C420’s, and 1 RS Venture.

Day Camp

We offer seven weekly camp sessions for our members' children from late June through mid August. Campers participate in a robust program including sports activities, arts and crafts, Wacky Wednesdays, Thankful Thursdays, biweekly tennis instruction, and daily pool time (weather permitting).
