14.1 The Club’s management and Board of Governors are charged with implementation of the Dress Code. The Dress Code is intended to ensure a pleasant dining atmosphere for all and is premised on the Members’ exercising good judgment. Compliance with the Dress Code by MembersandguestsisthesoleresponsibilityoftheMember.Inthecasewheretherearediffering opinions, members will abide by management’s interpretation. Should a member, including family members and guests, be inappropriately dressed, management will inform the member and advise them of the available dining venues at the time.

  • All members, family members, and guests shall be neat and wear appropriate attire at all times.
  • Neat denim (designer-type jeans free of holes or tears) and shorts are NOT permitted in the Ballroom or Alcove unless otherwise specified by Club management.
  • Members shall remove hats while indoors.
  • Shirts are required for all members on the surrounding lawn areas of the Clubhouse.
  • Bathing suits may not be worn on the lawn areas directly in front of the Patio and within the Clubhouse. Swim coverups may be worn in all casual areas, such as the pergola area and Adirondack chair lawn seating.
  • Footwear is required at all times

14.2 The Dress Code is applicable to all members, member family members (including children) and guests. Members are responsible for ensuring that their children and guests are appropriately and neatly dressed while on the premises. Children ages 12 and up must adhere to dress requirements at all times. It is strongly encouraged that children under the age of 12 also adhere to the dress requirements. The following Dress Code guidelines apply at all times, unless otherwise designated by the Club management.

Dress Code by Dining Area

Alcove and Ballroom - Main Clubhouse

The Alcove and Ballroom are the formal spaces of the Club with Formal Attire.

Gentleman

  • Collared Shirts tucked in and slacks
  • Closed toe dress shoes or boat shoes
  • Jeans, shorts, cargo shorts, t-shirts, sweatsuits, swimsuits, sneakers, shower sandals, flip flops and hats are NOT permitted
  • Tennis whites are NOT permitted
  • Jacket and necktie are optional (except for dances and major functions as designated by Club management).

Woman

  • Dress, Blouse, sweater or top, slacks, or skirt
  • Dress shoes including open or closed toe shoes
  • Jeans, shorts, cargo shorts, t-shirts, sweatsuits, swimsuits, sneakers, shower sandals, flip flops and hats are NOT permitted
  • Tennis whites are NOT permitted

*The term Business Formal may be used to distinguish it from a Black-Tie Event.


Binnacle Room, Family Room and Patio – Main Clubhouse

The Binnacle Room, Family Room and Patio of the Clubhouse are Smart Casual/Resort Wear Attire.

Gentleman

  • Collared Shirts tucked in, turtlenecks, slacks or neat shorts, neat jeans
  • Closed toe dress shoes or boat shoes, presentable non-athletic sneakers
  • Cargo shorts, t-shirts, sweatsuits, swimsuits, sneakers, shower sandals, flip flops and hats are NOT permitted

Woman

  • Dress, Blouse, sweater or top, slacks, skirts, neat shorts or jeans
  • Dress shoes including open or closed toe shoes, loafers or dress sandals, presentable non-athletic sneakers
  • Cargo shorts, t-shirts, sweatsuits, swimsuits, shower sandals, flip flops and hats are NOT permitted

*Tennis Whites and Sneakers ARE permitted before 5p.m.
**If the Beach House is not open for service, Tennis White will be permitted after 5 p.m. (i.e., off season)

Quarterdeck Dining Area – Beach House

The Quarterdeck is Smart Casual/Resort Wear Attire (with some outdoor space modifications).

  • Closed toe dress shoes or boat shoes, flip flops, sneakers
  • Cargo shorts, t-shirts, sweatsuits, swimsuits, shower sandals and hats are NOT permitted

Woman

  • Dress, Blouse, sweater or top, slacks, skirts, neat shorts or jeans
  • Dress shoes including open or closed toe shoes, loafers or dress sandals, flip flops, sneakers
  • Cargo shorts, t-shirts, sweatsuits, swimsuits, shower sandals and hats are NOT permitted

Seaside Terrace – Beach House

The Seaside Terrace is Casual Attire.

Shorts and a shirt are required. Swim and beach attire is permitted. Appropriate coverups are required over any swim attire. Shoes, sandals, sneakers or flip flops are required.

Surf Side Cafe (Snack Bar) – Beach House

The Snack Bar is Casual Attire.

Shorts and a shirt are required. Swim and beach attire is permitted. Appropriate coverups are required over any swim attire. Shoes, sandals, sneakers or flip flops are required.
